Barry Keoghan Visits OMEGA HQ

The Academy Award nominee and BAFTA winning actor, Barry Keoghan, has made a special visit to OMEGA’s watchmaking home in Biel, Switzerland.

The Irish actor has been a Friend of the Brand since 2024, and this was his first chance to experience OMEGA’s renowned production facilities, as well as the history on display at the OMEGA Museum.

Acclaimed for his roles in “Saltburn,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” and “The Killing of a Sacred Deer”, Barry Keoghan is also well known for his expressive off-screen style, which has included a number of different OMEGA timepieces in recent years.

Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, was on hand to personally show Barry around the brand’s HQ site, and said, “It’s an honour to welcome Barry Keoghan at OMEGA. Through is performances on screen, we know he is a master of detail and impact, and that he understands the dedication required for excellence. With that in mind, I’m sure he has enjoyed the standard of craftsmanship here. It’s always fascinating and surprising for any guest to see the technology and skill that goes into every OMEGA watch.”

Speaking during his visit, Barry Keoghan said, “I’m a big fan of OMEGA’s style, but I never knew the huge scale of their watchmaking production. The innovation is quite mind-blowing, and then you have the people themselves who bring so much quality to the designs. I’ve enjoyed discovering that side of the brand, as well as the history. There’s a lot of amazing stories at OMEGA, which just makes the watches even more exciting to wear.”

Spread out over five floors, and combining technical innovation with human expertise, the streamlined OMEGA factory represents the industry’s most cutting-edge facility for watch assembly, training and quality control. Barry Keoghan was given a close-up view of each watchmaking step, to understand not only the meticulous mechanics involved, but also the attention to aesthetics that make OMEGA watches unique and iconic.

At the OMEGA Museum, the actor was given a comprehensive overview of the heritage that makes the Swiss brand so distinctive. From Olympic and Paralympic Games timekeeping through to James Bond, space exploration, and deep-ocean diving, each section reveals OMEGA’s incredible story since 1848.

Especially for the visit, Barry Keoghan wore a Seamaster Diver 300M in Bronze Gold with a burgundy bezel (210.90.42.20.01.003).
