OMEGA Celebrates 10 Years Of Master Chronometer Certification

In 1848, when Louis Brandt created his very first watches, his ambition was to produce the most accurate movements possible. This dedication to precision carried the company forward, and eventually led to the breakthrough 19-ligne “OMEGA” calibre in 1894, which was so revolutionary in performance and production, it later became the company’s name. Those early years set the course for OMEGA and its commitment to excellence, yet it was only the beginning of a long and reputable journey.

In 2015, OMEGA introduced Master Chronometer certification to the world of Swiss watchmaking. Symbolizing the industry’s highest standard of precision, performance, and magnetic resistance, it set a bold new standard of excellence and proved, once again, that OMEGA was willing to push the boundaries of quality to exceptional limits.

Now, 10 years later, the brand is celebrating a decade of the Master Chronometer mark, which remains essential to almost every mechanical timepiece that leaves the factory.
