OMEGA Welcomes Eddie Redmayne to a Swiss Golfing Celebration

To celebrate this year’s OMEGA Masters golf tournament in the Swiss mountains, an exclusive gala event was hosted in L’Arnouva on Saturday night, with the OMEGA ambassador, Eddie Redmayne, welcomed as the evening’s special guest.

Stepping onto stage was the Academy Award-winning actor, Eddie Redmayne, who has been an OMEGA ambassador since 2015. His most notable career roles have included The Trial Of the Chicago 7, Les Misérables, The Danish Girl, the Fantastic Beasts series, and The Theory Of Everything – for which he received the Oscar for ‘Actor in a Leading Role’ amongst other awards. His recent performances in The Good Nurse and Day of the Jackal have also earned him multiple nominations, including at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Off-screen, Eddie Redmayne is renowned for his sophisticated style, making him an ideal ambassador for OMEGA’s timepiece collections. For the Swiss event, he wore a Seamaster Railmaster in stainless steel (235.10.38.20.06.001).

Played at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club until 31^st of August, the OMEGA Masters is one of OMEGA’s sporting highlights of the year. Originally called the Swiss Open when it was first played in 1923, the high-altitude competition has remained at the same venue since 1939, making it the oldest golf tournament in Europe to be played on the same course every year. OMEGA claimed the naming rights in 2001.
